It's so simple isn't it? We just need to be reminded every now and again.
Timely, too. I attended my 30 year school reunion last night and it was sobering to discover how many school friends are no longer with us. Suicide, cancer, car accidents...
Seeing your post reinforced what I was already feeling - life is short and we should always live it to the best of our ability. And, in doing so, it also honours those we've lost.
I am so sorry to hear about your school friends. I'm about the same age and so I totally understand what you are talking about. It all starts to make me think more about my own mortality. Sobering is correct.
Sometimes it is very difficult for me personally to not get caught up in life. I have to remind myself constantly to stay focused on what is important to me and to like you said, really LIVE each day.
I'm so glad that this came to you at the right time.
Thanks so much for this!! I'm going to print this out, frame it and place it somewhere that I can read it and be reminded daily... which would most likely be the kitchen area (lol). I'm at a point where my whole life has recently changed and instead of feeling anxiety, I have embraced it and in turn, it has been wonderful!! ;)
